A Gift from Bond Students – Volunteering at Local Community

On December 22nd, Bond students gave a unique gift by volunteering at Ellesmere Community Centre, to help the annual Project Engagement program co-founded by the Toronto City Councillor Michael Thompson and his friend Vincent Gasparro.

“This is the third year for Bond students to volunteer in this meaningful program.” said Ellen Guo, Manager of the Student Residence at Bond International College. “It is a good opportunity for our International students to understand a little more about Canadian culture by helping each other in the community.”

“This is a valuable experience for us.” said Lucy Lu, a Grade 12 International student at Bond. “We are happy to be a part of this program because the nutritious Christmas food boxes that we are assembling here today can actually help 500 Canadian families in need during the holiday season.”
