An Elections Ontario Team Visited Bond

On January 13th, a team from Elections Ontario visited Bond and ran a program for the Grade 10 Civics class.

The program included a variety of activities that encouraged students to reflect critically on the possible role of emerging technologies on the voting process.

“During these activities, students brainstormed the digital tools they use in their everyday life, and how these tools might be applied to the voting process.” said Mr. Greg Macri, the Curriculum Leader of Humanities & Social Sciences and Canadian Studies at Bond. “The presentation concluded with a discussion on the pros and cons of integrating these technologies in future elections.”
