New Computers at Bond

Technology is everywhere, entwined in almost every aspect of our lives. It affects how we communicate, work, connect, shop and, most importantly, how we learn. In order to keep pace with the rapid evolution of technology, the Bond Academy Community Council (BACC) spearheaded an initiative to provide our Elementary and Secondary students with up-to-date computers and software. A small committee of parents, teachers, staff and the school administration collaborated to identify both the PC and Apple technology needs at Bond.

As a result, the BACC and Bond Academy partnered to purchase ten Lenovo s510 desktop computers for the computer lab and four additional Apple MacBook Air laptops for the library (to bring the total to 18), as well as Microsoft Office software for all 28 computers. Providing students with access to newer technology will expand how they learn and better prepare them to meet the opportunities and challenges of the twenty-first century, in school and in their future careers.

On behalf of the Bond Academy Community Council, we wish to thank the school for the contribution of $5,000 towards the purchase of computers and software for the library and computer lab.  We live in a technology-dependent world and your financial support will ensure that Bond Academy students have access to resources that enhance education, prepare them for the future and make learning fun.
